Chapel-en-le-Frith

Getting to the Cannock Site

From the North West (M6)

Travelling south, leave the M6 at Junction 12 and follow the signs for A5 Cannock.

Remain on the A5 until the outskirts of Bridgtown. Go straight over a roundabout and half a mile later take a right turn into Walkmill Lane (this turning is before further roundabouts and the intersection with the A34).

The second turning on the right in Walkmill Lane will take you immediately to the Nicholl site.

From the North East (M1)

Travelling south, leave the M1 at Junction 28 and follow the signs for A38 Derby.

Stay on the A38 past Derby and Burton-upon-Trent and Lichfield.

Beyond Lichfield, follow the signs for A5 Brownhills / Cannock. Proceed on the A5 until you reach Bridgtown (around 8 miles).

Pass straight over two roundabouts in quick succession.

Turn left into Walkmill Lane around 400 yards later.

The second turning on the right in Walkmill Lane will take you immediately to the Nicholl site.

From the South (via M6 Toll)

Travelling north, leave the M6 Toll at Junction T7.

Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout following the signs for A5 West towards Telford and Cannock Town Centre.

Immediately, at the next roundabout take the 1st Exit for A5 West towards Telford and Cannock Town Centre.

At the next roundabout take the 2nd Exit for A5 West towards Telford.

At the traffic lights turn left into Walkmill Lane.

The second turning on the right in Walkmill Lane will take you immediately to the Nicholl Site.

From the South East (M40)

Proceed North along the M40 in the direction of Birmingham and the M42.

Past Junction 16 of the M40, you will see signs for the M42 North & South West.

Follow the signs for the M42 North (Solihull, NEC and M6).

Proceed north on the M42.

Leave the M42 at Junction 7, for the M6 (Northbound).

Leave the M6 at Junction 12, following the signs for A5 Cannock.

Remain on the A5 until the outskirts of Bridgtown. Go straight over a roundabout and half a mile later take a right turn into Walkmill Lane (this turning is before further roundabouts and the intersection with the A34).

The second turning on the right in Walkmill Lane will take you immediately to the Nicholl site.

From the South West (M5)

Proceed North along the M5, until it joins the M6 (Northbound).

Leave the M6 at Junction 12, following the signs for A5 Cannock.

Remain on the A5 until the outskirts of Bridgtown. Go straight over a roundabout and half a mile later take a right turn into Walkmill Lane (this turning is before further roundabouts and the intersection with the A34).

The second turning on the right in Walkmill Lane will take you immediately to the Nicholl site.

 

Getting to the Chapel-en-le-Frith Site

From the North West (M6)

Travel south along the M6, leaving it at Junction 19 and following the signs for A556 Northwich.

Almost immediately, take the first turning left for A5033 Knutsford.

From Knutsford proceed along the A537 signed to Macclesfield then to Buxton.

Proceed towards Buxton, which means turning left onto the A54 Buxton and then left again onto the A53 Buxton.

From Buxton follow signs for the A6 Stockport (there are also smaller signs for Chapel) and proceed along this road, travelling north.

Ignore the first sign for Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Proceed along the A6 until you reach a roundabout where you take the first exit left signed for Chapel and Chinley.

Turn first left into Bowden Lane before the next roundabout. Proceed to the bottom and you will see Reception on the left.

From the North East (M1)

Travel south along the M1, leaving it at Junction 30 and following the signs for A619 Chesterfield then Baslow.

Reaching Baslow, take the A623 towards Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Remain on the A623 until at the roundabout junction with the A6 you follow the signs to A6 Stockport.

At the next roundabout you take the first exit left signed for Chapel and Chinley.

Turn first left into Bowden Lane before the next roundabout. Proceed to the bottom and you will see Reception on the left.

From the South East (M40)

Proceed North along the M40 in the direction of Birmingham and the M42.

Past Junction 16 of the M40, you will see signs for the M42 North & South West.

Follow the signs for the M42 North (Solihull, NEC and M6).

Proceed North on the M42.

Leave the M42 at Junction 9, following the signs for A446 Lichfield.

Remain on the A446 until (at the second roundabout) you follow the signs to A38 Lichfield and Burton-upon-Trent.

Proceed along the A38 until (between Burton-on-Trent and Derby) you reach a large junction between the A38 and the A50.

Take the first exit left following the signs for A50 Stoke-on-Trent and proceed west along the A50.

At the junction with the A515 leave the A50 and proceed north following the signs to A515 Ashbourne and then A515 Buxton.

From Buxton follow signs for the A6 Stockport (there are also smaller signs for Chapel) and proceed along this road, travelling north.

Ignore the first sign for Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Proceed along the A6 until you reach a roundabout where you take the first exit left signed for Chapel and Chinley.

Turn first left into Bowden Lane before the next roundabout. Proceed to the bottom and you will see Reception on the left.

From the South West (M5)

Proceed North along the M5, leaving it at Junction 4a and joining the M42 (the signs point to M42 NEC, Solihull, M40 London).

Remain on the M42 until Junction 9, where you follow the signs for A446 Lichfield.

Remain on the A446 until (at the second roundabout) you follow the signs to A38 Lichfield and Burton-upon-Trent.

Proceed along the A38 until (between Burton-on-Trent and Derby) you reach a large junction between the A38 and the A50.

Take the first exit left following the signs for A50 Stoke-on-Trent and proceed west along the A50.

At the junction with the A515 leave the A50 and proceed north following the signs to A515 Ashbourne and then A515 Buxton.

From Buxton follow signs for the A6 Stockport (there are also smaller signs for Chapel) and proceed along this road, travelling north.

Ignore the first sign for Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Proceed along the A6 until you reach a roundabout where you take the first exit left signed for Chapel and Chinley.

Turn first left into Bowden Lane before the next roundabout. Proceed to the bottom and you will see Reception on the left.
