Kliklok-Woodman Launches Packing Industry Shining Star, Polaris II Bagmaker

Kliklok-Woodman, an industry leader in packaging solutions, announced today the release of the Polaris II, a third-generation upgrade of a highly successful bagmaker line. Kliklok-Woodman’s continued innovation ensures customers receive the ultimate in machine performance, reliability and automation.

“Since it’s original introduction nearly 18 years ago, Polaris has been constantly upgraded and improved to remain the workhorse customers have come to expect,” said Ross Long, VP Sales and Marketing. “The upgrades in Polaris II offer significant improvement in automation and user operation. New features and upgrades of Polaris II include:

• Full Servo Motor Controls. Automatic control functions on film pull belts, end seal jaws and strip-motions result in exceptional reliability and machine uptime.
• Insight® Color Touch-screen. More than a simple touch-screen, Insight offers a graphics-based interface designed for ease of use and greater memory recall. This is the same interface used on the highly successful Cyclone bagmaker, by Kliklok-Woodman.
• High performance PLC machine controls offer “off the shelf” non-proprietary availability and reliability.
• Fiber Optic Registration. Registration is precisely controlled to ensure correct bag lengths are consistently produced, resulting in reduced package waste.
• Automatic Machine Timing. Automated timing provides optimized parameter settings, which maximize performance and provide the highest operating efficiencies possible.

Polaris II will be showcased at SNAXPO 2004 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania March 20-23, 2004. SNAXPO, sponsored by the Snack Food Association, is the world’s largest show under one roof devoted to the snack food industry. Kliklok-Woodman will be at booth location 825 in the Philadelphia Convention Center for the unveiling of Polaris II, the newest shining star of the Kliklok-Woodman family.
