The Automation UK trade fair will be held for the first time in Coventry, England, on June 20 and 21, 2023. The aim of the new exhibition is to become a reference exhibition in the United Kingdom in the field of automation and robotics. Mark Stepney, managing director of Schubert UK Limited – the British sales subsidiary of the German packaging machinery manufacturer Schubert – is one of the promoters of this prestigious industrial showcase and Schubert is one of the founding exhibitors of the event. He and his team will have their own stand (A10) to advise visitors on the potential of Schubert’s packaging solutions and on their many possible applications. Among the most outstanding products will be the cobot, which is now ready for series production, a bar packing machine with an innovative feeding, the new Box Motion unit in the flowpack packaging machine’s cross-sealing system and Schubert’s “Packaging Perspectives” customer service for sustainable packaging.

The new Automation UK fair is organized by BARA (British Robotics and Automation Association) and PPMA (Association of Processing and Packaging Machinery), the umbrella organization representing more than 550 member companies of the processing and packaging machinery industry in the United Kingdom. Mark Stepney, Managing director of Schubert UK, is Vice-Chairman of BARA and was elected to the Board of Directors of PPMA three years ago. Since then, he and his Schubert team have been working at the Automation UK event and explains“ “Automation and robotics are among the key technologies that are successfully propelling the UK economy into the future. The widespread shortage of skilled workers and recurrent supply bottlenecks currently pose major challenges to companies. We will only be able to meet these challenges with innovations that automate production and make it more efficient, leaner and more profitable.”
